Hi everyone!
Are you guys like me where you can sit and stare at a photo and sift through multiple lots of papers just trying to decide where to begin......do you start with a mixed media base or do you actually try to use up some of those gorgeous papers that you have been hoarding for years.
My Overthinking and hoarding brain starts having that debate and I seem to go round and round in circles. I go over some inspiration pins that I've saved, change my mind for the 3rd, 4th and 5th time until I eventually just look at the mess that I have created in my room and I'm exhausted.
Lately though I have started to get brave and actually listen to that great advice of 'it's just paper' try it and if you don't like it try something else. I've actually been a teeny weeny proud of myself and realised that my first attempt doesn't have to be perfect! And I have realised that I can do both mixed media and traditional scrapbooking layouts - insert explosion sound effect here lol.
My new thing is create two layouts from the same paper range, one more mixed media focused and the other more traditional and paper focused. I am loving using more of my coloured and patterned paper stash.
Below are some pictures of my mixed media where I have used Colour blasts, sewing (yes as in a needle and thread!) and where I have created my own title using colour blasts and a textured stamp.
